Kunal Gupta

Founder

Kunal Gupta is the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Impact Entrepreneurship Group. In his first year at the University of Waterloo, Kunal founded Impact with a group of like-minded students at the University of Waterloo and in a few short years, Impact has grown from a small conference to one of Canada’s largest student-run entrepreneurship groups. Kunal has played a large role in developing credible relationships with academia, forming strong corporate partnerships and representing Impact in business communities across Canada.

Kunal is currently the CEO of Polar Mobile, a mobile software development firm developing client-branded solutions for media companies. Kunal has had work experience through coop terms with Wesley Clover, Infusion Angels, Deloitte, the Bank of Montreal and TELUS. He has also had work/study experience in the UK and Hong Kong. In 2006, Kunal was recognized as the Shad Alumnus of the Year for his achievements with Impact and was also recognized by the United Nations as a Global Citizen.
